ASSOCIATE
GRETCHEN D. STOCKDALE practices in the area of general civil and business litigation, specializing in intellectual property litigation. She also handles a variety of transactional matters, including prosecuting copyright and trademark applications, counseling clients regarding protecting their intellectual property assets, and preparing licensing agreements. Ms. Stockdale serves as a member of the editorial board of Los Angeles Lawyer magazine and was named a Southern California Rising Star by Los Angeles Magazine in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Defended and prosecuted opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Defended and prosecuted domain name transfer proceedings under the UDRP of the ICANN.
Represented copyright owners against on-line infringers and their Internet Service Providers.
Represented a well-known model and actress in a defamation case.
Represented a nutritional supplement manufacturer and supplier in a $150 million false advertising claim brought by the FTC.
Ms. Stockdale received her Juris Doctor degree in 2002, graduating cum laude from Loyola of Los Angeles Law School. A Henry C. Yuen Scholar, Ms. Stockdale was the Executive Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, an international finalist in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court competition and was a member of the St. Thomas More Legal Honor Society. She is a member of the Order of the Coif and was the recipient of the High Honors Award in Legal Drafting. Ms. Stockdale also served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Margaret M. Morrow, U.S. District Court, Central District of California, and as an intern at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. She was admitted to the California Bar in 2002. Before relocating to the Los Angeles area, Ms. Stockdale graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication. She then attended the University of California-Santa Barbara, where she was awarded a Graduate Fellowship, worked as a teaching assistant and completed her coursework for a Master of Arts degree in Communication Science.
Prior to her legal career, Ms. Stockdale worked for several years in the entertainment industry. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Women in Film, and the American Bar Association's Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, and First Amendment & Media Litigation sections.
